Your group of three couples accompanied by Father Johnson will fall in love with the UNESCO World Heritage City of San Miguel de Allende, deemed "Mexico's most enchanting destination and world's best cities" by Travel and Leisure. You will spend three nights (Feb. 15-18, 2024) at the Hotel Casa Blanca, a boutique hotel unlike any other, set within a grand, three-century-old residence in the heart of the historic district. The property has ten beautiful guest-suites, wellness services and an outstanding restaurant. San Miguel's colorful historic city center is known for its architecture, wide-ranging gastronomic offerings as well as eclectic shops. This trip will include a guided walking tour through the streets of the town, going back to the colonial past where you can admire its well-preserved Colonial and Spanish architecture, starting with the famous pink church Parroquia de San Miguel. Built in the 17th century, this church has become the symbol of the city with its peculiar neo-Gothic style Inspired by cathedrals in Europe. This adventure also Includes a private tequila tasting and specially prepared small bites by Casa Dragones and award-winning Aperl Restaurant. As you sip fine tequilas, you'll have a view into the kitchen where renowned chef, Omar Henriquez, will be preparing small bites that perfectly compliment the experience. Your expert will guide you to compare notes of each tequila's expression as you enjoy tasters made with seasonal products from the surrounding farms. When you are not touring you'll have time to relax or explore on your own. You won't want to miss one of the most beautiful cities just south of us! |
