Check out this great item that I found online. I am often asked to make donations for auctions, but am rarely asked to do something specific. When asked to paint a cross for the Strake Jesuit “Viva España, I was elated. Crosses carry strong sentiments. This year, I created this cross in honor of a family with sons at Strake Jesuit. My husband and I have raised two boys who have grown in to respectable young men full of love and grace. I understand how hard it is to raise a family during the many trials and tribulations of our world. It isn’t easy raising boys into men and it most definitely takes the village to get everyone headed in the right direction down the correct road. Prayers are a must during these times and patience is called upon on many, many occasions. Always remember ,God gives you strength when needed and you can call upon his name at any time whenever needed. The colors on this cross have representational meaning. Black represents the parental foundations for our children that we provide. We must remain strong and study for them to grow into adults. The various greens represent new beginnings, growth, and blessings for our children throughout their beautiful lives. Crosses emit hope and faith. My sons would end youth group at our church with Numbers 6:24-26. “The Lord bless and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Whenever in doubt about raising your children, call win the name of the Lord. He will give you guidance to help your children find their path.
