Welcome to our Online Auction

The 25th annual Auction for the Animals is right around the corner. Whether you are a local or a visitor, this is the summer event you don't want to miss. Join us for a fun and entertaining evening and help make this important fundraiser a great success for the dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs animal shelter.

NEW THIS YEAR!  Pre-Event ONLINE Bidding

This year the Auction for Animals is a two tier auction.  The auction will be exclusively online from August 1st – August 22nd at 5pm.  At this point all leading online pre-bids will be transferred to either silent auction paper bid sheets or to a live auction proxy bidder list so a proxy bidding can bid for you up to your maximum.  If you are the leading bidder on an item on August 22nd when the online auction is ending you will receive an email telling you that you are the lead bidder.

The Live auction will take place on Friday August 23rd at the Ross Aragon Community Center in Pagosa Springs Colorado.  A proxy bidder will be representing all online live auction pre-bidders at the live event.  All winners will be contacted within three days following the live auction.  If you are unable to attend the live event be sure to pre-bid online.

At The Event

The evening will feature a delicious catered dinner and delectable desserts, along with a cash bar featuring fine wine, great beer and soft drinks. The doors will open at 6 p.m. This special evening is a terrific way to help the dogs and cats in our community's only animal shelter and a great way to have a fun-filled night, too.

Please help support your local Humane Society by attending this very important annual fundraiser. The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs does not receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States, American Humane, the ASPCA or United Way. Your local Humane Society relies on revenue from private donations, the thrift store and fundraisers such as the Auction for the Animals to fund the activity of the animal shelter and the many programs that support community members and their pets. Remember to purchase your tickets in advance. For more information on the event, call 264-5549. Come on out August 23 and enjoy a wonderful evening. You'll be glad you did.

Miriam Haskell Vintage Gold Bells Necklace, Bracelet and 2 Pairs of Earrings in Gold Tone Metal -

Miriam Haskell established her Miriam Haskell Company in New York City in 1926. From the get-go, her handcrafted floral-themed costume jewelry was a hit with the stylish women of Manhattan, who adored her intricate necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and pins. Haskell loved gilt findings and filigree, faux pearls, Austrian crystal beads, blown glass beads from the island of Murano, and, above all, rose montées. Some of the stars who loved Haskell jewelry included Lucille Ball, who wore Haskell pieces on her TV show. Joan Crawford was another loyal customer. She collected Haskells from the late 1930s through the 1960s. In 1978, a year after the actress’s death, her collection of vintage Haskell costume jewelry was auctioned off to great fanfare, partly because of Crawford’s reputation, of course, but also due to the quality of the pieces themselves.
