The first weekend of December has been The Heritage Guild of Collin County Holiday Tour of Homes since 1973.
The tradition of opening historic homes for a public tour began in 1973 when our founders first opened their homes to raise money to purchase the Dulaney House and Cottage and the grounds which eventually became Chestnut Square. Each year, five or six homes and historic structures are decorated for Christmas and opened for the tour.
This year, Chestnut Square and the Samaritan Inn have teamed to bring you this treasured holiday event. The proceeds from this event, including the auction, will benefit the ongoing operation of Chestnut Square and Samaritan Inn. Your participation in our auction and home tour will make a positive difference in our community.
Chestnut Square Historic Village is a 501c3 non-profit corporation with a mission to preserve and perpetuate the heritage of Collin County. School children enjoy programming about local history including Girl Scout programs, school field trips, summer Prairie Adventure camps, birthday parties and more.
