SJAM Private Wine & Cheese Tour Would you be surprised to learn that a Picasso and a Dalí hang in Loyola Hall? Or that an Elamite tablet dating to the 13th century BC is on display in the Parsley Center? The Strake Jesuit Art Museum (SJAM) is steward of over 800 individual works on display in courtyards, commons, classrooms, and offices throughout campus. Each day, teachers and students go about their business in the shadows of an impressive collection of modern European masters (e.g. Miró, Chagall, Kollwitz), WPA muralists (e.g. Kainen, Barnet, Lea), Mexican modernists (e.g. Siqueiros, Tamayo, Zuniga) contemporary Native American artists (e.g. Scholder, Singer, Gorman), world renowned artists from our region (e.g. Moroles, Jimenez, Alexander), and so much more! You and 10 friends will join our museum curator for a private tour of collection highlights, specially tailored to your interests. The tour will finish in Loyola Hall with wine and cheese on the McCormick Terrace. This event will be scheduled for a mutually agreeable evening or weekend afternoon before June 15, 2022.
