| Description of Item |
| "Autumn Aspen" Kiln Formed Glass Leaf Bowl - Each shape is carefully hand cut from a sheet of glass. A special fusible glass paint is applied to bring forth the veining in each leaf. From there, various sizes and colors of frit (crushed glass) are layered and the ppiece is fired multiple times at high temperatures. Finally, each leaf is fired one last time at a lower temperature to give it shape, yeilding a leaf that resembles one found in nature. As a finishing touch, each bowl is placed on a stand created from materials found on the artist's land in Chromo, CO. |
